More projects awaited for us this semester, our last semester. I got to participate in a couple of events that need African Chorus performance. In this post, I wanted to specifically talk about our performance at Highlands University, MLK Day, and lastly graduation. I choose these events as it was the most memorable one that I remembered clearly the rehearsal process and the D-Day.

African Chorus team was divided into two groups, the one perform for MLK Day and the one perform for Tedx on the campus. I choose to perform for MLK Day due to my schedule. The video below shows the rehearsal process inside the art room. We all learned a new song that was pretty hard but at the same time it was fun to work together with. There are some people who take longer to familiarize themselves with the song but the people who learned it pretty quick offer help which is great. After our performance on MLK Day, the leader decided to choose the same group to perform at NMHU to represents uwc-usa. Let me make it clear here, it was the most fun performance we've ever done. Here is the video of our full 20 minutes performance that was very impromptu as we only prepared for a seven minutes performance. It was very exciting and thrilling as we have to come up with pretty much 5 new songs to make it longer in a 15 minutes slot time. Indeed, our leaders are the best.

Oh, I forgot about that! The whole chorus also performs during the Annual Conference which was very exciting. I don't remember exactly how the rehearsal process but I know for sure that time we were a little bit at a slower pace because the number of the chorus reach almost 50 people. The last performance that we had was during graduation. Again, with the abrupt decision for students to leave campus, we only meet once and perform for our rushed yet beautiful graduation. I remembered I was being very overwhelmed with the situation and cried during the rehearsal. My heart and brain can't seem ready to leave this place, to leave my routine to practice African Chorus, and to perform on MY graduation. However, I learned how each and every one of us appreciates the time that we had together. It'd be too much of works to put a video here, so this is the link where you could see full graduation video. Our performance starts at 21:24. Thank you, African Chorus. It has been an honor.
